Cheers for Volunteers
As part of our 2023 celebrations, the Royal Voluntary Service led charities and voluntary organisations across the UK in raising a glass (or a cup of tea!) to say a big ‘Cheers for Volunteers’ for all the amazing volunteers who make an enormous contribution to our society.
Hundreds of organisations came together on July 2nd to toast the extroardinary people who spend their time and energy making our communities great places to live.
This year it was extraordinarily important to say Cheers for Volunteers for another reason: over 7million people had volunteered their time through the Big Help Out for His Majesty the King and Queen’s Coronation, many of them for the first time in years – or ever!
